Location: Hospital-based Medical Imaging Department – Sutherland

Employment Type: Full Time (Permanent)

Clinical Focus: General X-ray with CT exposure



About the Role


An excellent opportunity is available for a Radiographer to join a busy hospital-based imaging department in the Sutherland region. This role offers exposure to a broad and clinically diverse caseload, working closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary hospital teams.

You will be involved in both general radiography and CT, making this position ideal for someone looking to strengthen their acute and hospital imaging experience.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general X-ray and CT examinations
• Work collaboratively with radiologists and hospital clinical teams
• Ensure strong patient care and safety standards across all imaging procedures
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation and follow departmental protocols
• Contribute to a supportive and team-focused environment

Technology & Equipment

• Multi-slice CT scanner (modern platform with dose optimisation technology)
• Digital general X-ray systems
• Integrated hospital RIS/PACS environment
• Exposure to acute and inpatient imaging workflows

Shift Pattern & On-Call

• Rotating hospital roster across weekdays
• Participation in evening/weekend shifts
• On-call component (shared across the team)
• Strong team structure to support training and transition into hospital workflows if required

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• NSW Radiation Licence
• Experience in general radiography (CT experience or willingness to upskill)
• Ability to work within a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
